A word to our clients about how we’re aiming to keep you and our community safe.
As we monitor and learn more about the spread of Coronavirus in our communities, we want to inform you about what we’re doing as a company to protect you from the potential spread of the virus. Since The World Organization for Animal Health states that, “The current spread of COVID-19 is a result of human to human transmission. To date, there is no evidence that companion animals can spread the disease,” and “There have not been any reports of companion or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19 and currently there is no evidence that they play a significant epidemiological role in this human disease”, our focus is on protecting our human clients from the threat of infection.
First and foremost, if you choose to have us continue to visit with your pets, please know that we are doing everything we can to prevent contamination of your home by taking the following steps:
🐾 We are practicing strict “social distancing” habits to limit possible exposure to the virus by eliminating non-essential personal interactions by refraining from visiting high-traffic public areas whenever possible, not having visitors to our home, and staying home with our children between visits. The majority of our existing pet sitting visits have been canceled already by our clients, due to trip cancellations and work schedule changes.
🐾 We are being especially careful to continue to wash hands before and after visits, use hand sanitizer when in public areas, and keep our vehicles and surroundings disinfected.
🐾 We are closely monitoring our health and the health of our children, and promise to be honest with you should any symptoms of the virus appear with ourselves or people we come in contact with. Should we show symptoms of infection, we will cancel visits immediately.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We will continue to communicate our thoughts as we continue to monitor the situation. Stay safe and use this time as an excuse to stay home and snuggle up closer with family and pets. Thank you!
